Study: Alcohol is most destructive substance

  

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- According to a new British study, alcohol might be more dangerous than cocaine and heroin.

Researchers ranked various substances by how destructive they were to an individual and to society.

Among the substances researched were alcohol, cocaine, heroin, Ecstasy and marijuana.

It was found that drugs like heroin and crack cocaine were the most lethal to individuals.

However, when it factored with wider social effects, alcohol came out as the most destructive by a wide margin.
